Zeugma, ancienne Séleucie, a été fondée au IIIe siècle avant notre ère sur les rives de l'Euphrate. Le personnage de cette mosaïque de Zeugma n'a pas été identifié et a été surnommé Gypsy girl (la Bohémienne). Certains experts pensent que ce pourrait être la représentation de Gaïa, la déesse de la terre.
Zeugma, ancient Seleucia, was founded in the third century BC on the banks of the Euphrates. The character of this mosaic of Zeugma has not been identified and has been nicknamed Gypsy girl (the Bohemian). Some experts think it could be the portrayal of Gaia, the goddess of the earth.
